Today was so fun! My brother, Josh and my friend, Andrew came to lunch with me today! It was such a breath of fresh air for me, because...it just was. I also ran into my friend, Alli from school! We told each other we were going to hang out in the summer, but since I work everyday, I didn't know when I would have the time. I found out that she works here too! She was walking and I saw her and screamed her name, and we both were just surprised! So now we have lunch together. Must've been God, because I thought that I wouldn't see her this summer. So, Thank You God! And on top of that, I got paid today! Which means the mall is calling my name! Everybody have a Blessed Weekend. I know I will!

"To Decide or Not To Decide...That Is The Question."
Frantz, Karen. "The Female Nature: A Woman's Destiny." The Humanist 67.4 (2007): 4
This is about not letting a woman decide on abortion at all. Karne Frantz feels that if a women decides, then she will later regret it in life. So basically she's saying that the mother shouldn't have the responsibility on decisions so serious even though it's their baby.
I really wanted to touch all situations on abortions, so here is another article that is similiar to the one above, but in different content.
Blustain, Sarah. "Mommy Dearest." The American Prospect 17.10 (2006): 10
This ariticle is taking place in South Dakota. South Dakota wants to ban abortion completely unless the mother's health is in danger. In 2006 the state was in a big argument on this topic because some people felt that is should be a woman's choice. During this fight, there were numerous protests against pro-choice and pro-life. This law was one of the hardest decisions in the United States History on laws.

Who Decides?
Ehrlich, Shoshanna J. The Hidden Injuries of Class. Prager Publishers, 2006
This is a book about teens and abortion. I said in my previous blog about abortion that I wanted to do the search on the history behind it all. I believe that teens cover a portion of that topic.
This book goes over the different problems teens go through when they're pregnant and on the brink of abortion. It also shows the argument of who decides. The parents or the teens...or the JUDGE?

In The Words of Korey Jackson, "Im 'Bout To Get Paid, Y'all!"
Check it out, y'all!
I went to lunch with my mentor today and it was so much fun! The food was great, the conversation was great, and she was great! I'm so fortunate to have ended up with her, because we have a lot in common. Being apart of a big family is one of them. We get to hang out again soon, and I can't wait! She also got me this tight gift (with compliments of her daughter) and it was so sweet! I'm 'bout to rock this purse, y'all! I'm being funny, but seriously I'm glad she's my mentor.
Thanks Leslie!
Oh yeah, today is pay day! Thank You Jesus!LOL

The Establishment of Abortion
McDonagh, E.L. "Abortion As A Reproductive Right." Historical and Multicultural Encyclopedia of Women's Reproductive Rights In The United States 2002.
Abortion has been a constitutional right that was established in the trial Roe v. Wade(1973). The ruling of this trial tore down at the least, 46 state laws. A woman has a right to choose an abortion. There is a catch to this law. A woman is prohibited by the state to abort her baby if her pregnancy is at viability or "the end of the second trimester". The only way the state can't interfere is if the woman's health or life is in danger. All of this was beginning in 1973, and is still in the process today.

"Shelf 231?"-Check "Shelf 232?"-Check
What's up y'all!
Just finished another day of work! In periodicals I had to do shelf inventory! At first I was doing it with IBK, but then he had to leave, so I finished the job myself. Actually, it goes faster when you do it by yourself!

Does Anyone Have Any Pressing Grease?
Hey everyone!
It's about 11:50pm and I'm tryin' to finish doing my hair. I just have to dry it and flat iron it. And I find that I only have half a jar of pressing grease for my hair.
Today at work was fun. We got to meet the rest of the people in the diversity program. Some of them I already knew, so it was like school again. We learned about different parts of each library. I think my favorite part of the day is when we had a to interview a diffent person to get to know them. Now I know about everyone's interests! Well I better go now, because I know I won't wake up if I don't finish my hair.
God bless,
~Nikki~
ps-it is now 11:55pm.

"I'm No Grandpa, I'm A Father!"
What's Up, everyone!
Today at work was a little crazy.
First I learned how to shelf today! I was so happy to know that I got the books in order. I also filed in room 222a. I met this lady named Elaine, and she was really nice. Periodicals is my last place of the day. Shelly is cool. At first, I was doing shelf inventory with one of the other workers, but I guess things didn't go so well, so we had to change to another project. It was kinda funny, though. But this wasn't the worse of my day.
I went up to IBK to talk to him, and I saw that he was talking to an older man. I found out that he was related to a student at my high school. So accidently I said, " Oh! Are you his grandpa?" and he said, "No. I'm his father." I felt so embarrassed!

Abortion
I chose abortion because it's an issue that has been debated for over thirty years. Should it be illegal? Should it be a woman's choice? This issue stretches out from family destruction all the way to politics.
Ca Va Bien?
Bonjour!
Hey, everyone! My name is Sardius! My family and web name is Nikki. I guess you can see that i have a few french words in my website. I've taken french for five and a half years. I'm still waiting for that one summer when I'll get to travel around Europe! I have a big family and they're all very close to me. I just learned how to make this blog and I think i'm going to have fun writing them.Oh my gosh! I bought a Caramel Frappachino from Starbucks. The first half of it was so good! I had a meeting with the other workers in room 222A. I didn't know if I could bring it in there, so I threw it away! When I entered the room, I saw IBK with a burger king drink. I guess we were allowed. I'm just mad that I threw half of a $4 drink away.
